‘7aam Arivu’ saw a grand and gala audio launch function last evening and it is reported that the tracks are already rocking the music lovers and topping the charts of Tamil film music.
After big hit ‘Ghajini’ A R Murugadoss, Suriya and Harris Jayaraj have again come together for this magnum opus. The album has six tracks that is been released by Sony Music.
Let us have a review of the music and songs from the album.
1. Oh Ringa Ringa
This is the most awaited number from the album as even before the release of the album the song created a big buzz in the trade and industry for its peppy tune and unique visualization. It has a specialty of being filmed in the busy streets of Chennai and said to rock the music industry soon.
Written by Pa. Vijay the song is sung by Roshan, Jerry, Benny Dayal and Suchitra.
The song and tune reminds us the A R Rahman hit ‘Taxi Taxi…’ from Shantanoo starrer ‘Sakkrakatti’.
2. Mun Andhi
Harris Jayaraj’s this melody sure will elevate us with its pleasing tune and mesmerizing voice of Karthik. A good softy addition for the album!
Na. Muthukumar has penned the lyrics and Karthik and Megha has sung the song.
3. Yellae Lama
A very highly energetic song that has music and lyrics that makes you dance and jump. Shruti’s voice captures the listeners mind and heart with her high pitch.
Na. Muthukumar has written the lyrics and the song is sung by Vijay Prakash, Karthik, Shalini and Shruti Hassan.
4. Yamma Yamma
Legend S P Balasubramaniam has crooned this number and this great man has not let us down with his captivating voice. The high music of Harris Jayaraj has taken a back seat projecting the sound chords of the singers. Good voice, good underplayed beats and nice tune.
Lyrics of Kabilan and voice of SPB and Shweta Menon sure will hit you.
5. Innum Enna Thozha
A big inspirational song dedicated to our Sri Lankan brothers and sisters. More than music, lyrics touches your heart. It brings you the heart and minds of the Island Tamils and their desire for a trouble free homeland.
Pa. Vijay’s words excel! Sure you raise your goose bumps!! Balram, Naresh Iyer and Sujith Sureshan have lent their voice to this great number.
6. The Rise of Damo
A mindboggling fusion of Oriental and Indian music… Great instrumentation by Harris Jayaraj and voice rendition by Chinese singer Hao Wang!
Madhan Karki’s lyrics gel well with the orchestration. The track takes you to a tour of oriental world and gently swings back to Indian music with a class addition of Mridangam and other indigenous instruments. Pick of the album, you can bet!
The song pays tributes to the 5th century Buddhist monk Bodhidharma, who lived in India. The instrumentations of the song take you to the good old days of Chinese culture and origin. Yes, the composer has put all his hard work to bring those almost extinct Chinese traditional instruments to use it in this track.
Overall, the album makes us desire more and more to get into the story of the film ‘7aam Arivu’. A nice audio teaser for the film!
Good work Harris Jayaraj, and a big pat on the back of director A R Murugadoss for the concepts.
