Maryadhe in Kannada means respect. To get the respect of the audience the film should be a hilarious one from comedy king Komalkumar the younger brother of famous comedy hero Jaggesh.
The turnout till interval is not enjoyable and entertaining for the audience and expectation of ‘Respect’ dilutes. Komalkumar should have maintained the histrionics and dialogue delivery to take the attention till interval. This is not what happened in ‘Maryade Ramanna’ a remake of SS Rajamouli Telugu film ‘Maryadhe Ramanna’ released in the last year.
It is a frame to frame remake by director PVS Guruprasad. As a director he has not understood the trump card of Komalkumar. Why is this taken for granted attitude from Komalkumar – whatever he does will be taken by the audience only when there is stuff throughout the film?
Ramu has ancestor property and feud. In converting his ancestral property he comes to the place he has old rivalry. It is two and half decades old rivalry. Ramu is not aware of this aspect. He comes to the house where everyone is waiting to kill him. That is Desai house. Desai son was killed by Ramu father twenty five years ago. Ramu knows this and he is caught in the wrong place. The policy of Desai is that he should not be put down inside the house but only after stepping out.
How Ramu uses his brain to stay in the Desai house to save his life is of course interesting developments in the house. He does not have ‘Maryadhe’ (Respect) in the house but yet forced to stay here.
Komalkumar is good in the second half. Why his fans should wait till second half to get what he can give easily? Nisha Shah has nothing to score. Rajesh is brilliant as doctor. Mukeshi Rishi is another Bolly ‘Wood’ actor in this film.
MM Keeravani two songs are passable. The train song cinematography with night effect by R Giri is admirable.
A remake should be rewritten to suit the actors image in Kannada is the advice for this film maker Kumaresh Thammayya.

In the debut director Deepak Aras has not made a worthwhile attempt that can stay for a long. He has not showed any signs of promise as the proceedings are routine and easily understandable from the point of view of audience.
The gripping things are less when the film is heroine oriented. Either it should have stunning performance or give room for guessing moments for the audience. Both the things have not happened in ‘Manasology’. Deepak Aras has a long way to go. Deepak Aras directed his sister Amoolya who has a pretty good status in the Kannada cinema industry and not given enough chance for her to emote.
Sihi (Amoolya) very close to her father Achu (Achuythkumar) is a violin teacher in an institute. She is in love with a stranger whom she had not seen but spoken over telephone. The conversation over a period of time develops into a love. Sihi and Manas have not seen each other. The shock is for Sihi father Achu as the news of Manas death in the road accident. Achu keeps the demise of Manas to himself. Sihi not getting telephone calls from Manas is in depression. Knowing this depression another young guy tries to fill the loss pretending as Manas.
Now Sihi’s father is not ready to accept this newcomer Manas. Manas (Rakesh) admit his fault but Sihi getting duped initially from him learns the fact from her father.
Amoolya looks plum and her charm is not visible on screen. Amoolya of ‘Cheluvina Chittara’ is not found here in this film of her own banner. Rakesh has to refine himself in acting.
Character artist Achuyuth Kumar is the saving grace and so is music director Anoop Seelin and cameraman Sugnaan.
Anoop has given three lovely tunes and film to film he is showing that he is a promising music director. In his earlier film ‘I am sorry….Anoop done a fantastic job.
Sugnaan has second release in one week gap. His work was good in ‘Lifu Ishtene’ and he continues his profound knowledge in cinematography in this film ‘Manasology’ too.

Sukumari(Malayalam: സുകുമാരി) is an Indian actress from Kerala who has primarily acted in Malayalam and Tamil movies. She has been acting for more than 60 years and has acted in different roles and languages. The total number of her movies is presumed to be about 2,000 movies. Even after having entertained generations with diverse tastes, she is still a much sought-after actress.
She was born in Nagercoil in 1940. Sukumari is a first cousin of the Travencore sisters, Lalitha, Padmini and Ragini (their mothers are sisters). She learned dance with the sisters and mastered danceforms like Keralanadanam, Kathakali and Bharathanatyam. She went for an all-India tour with the sisters.
Sukumari was noticed by a director when she went to the sets of a film with Padmini, and she debuted in the lead role in the Tamil film Orarivu. She was married to Director A. Bheemsingh until he passed away when she was barely 30. She acted in various Malayalam films of the later black and white age, like Chettathi, Kusruthikkuttan, Kunjali Marakkar, Thacholi Othenan, Yakshi and Karinizhal. She became popular in the later years by acting in various films of Priyadarshan like Poochakkoru Mookkuthi, Oodarathuammava Aalariyam, Boeing Boeing and Vandanam. She was also noticed in various films directed by Balachandra Menon like Manicheppu Thurannappol and Karyan Nissaram. In later years she did a major role in Nizhalkkuthu(2002) directed by Adoor Gopalakrishnan.
She has also done may mother roles and many of them are well-noted. She has acted in films in Malayalam, Tamil, Kannada, Telugu and Hindi, and used her own voice in all languages without using dubbing artists.She is still actively involved in films, TV Serials and stage dramas.
Sukumari who was honoured with a Padma Shri Award in 2003 by the Indian Govt. for her extensive work in cinema has contributed to more than 2000 films in Tamil and Malayalam. In 2010 Sukumari won the National Award for the best actress in a supporting role for her performance in 'Namma Grammam'.
Sukumari has been facing the camera right from the time she was 10 years old. She has acted in Tamil, Malayalam, Telugu, Kannada as well as Hindi films and has done the dubbing in all the films she has acted in her own voice. She is now a regular in the small screens.
