The production house Magnolia has just released the first trailer for the new movie which boasts of having some real great talent and the movie is named Main Street. The movie Main Street basically is a story which portrays the drama about the so-called small residents of a small Southern city.
And how their lives are forever changed when a stranger comes there with a very controversial plan and that plan can actually save the town which is currently in a rotten state. The trailer didn’t quite set the tone but it has some great actors like Colin Firth, the dashing Orlando Bloom and they surely sound good in their new southern accent.
But still with some impressive star cast the trailer is not that engaging. Still here is the trailer and also the plot outline of the movie:
A stranger arrives and the lives in a small southern town is completely changed. Will his controversial plan be the saviour of this stagnant hometown? Will he influence the close-knit inhabitants of North Carolina and pursue them to rediscover themselves, rejuvenate their relationships and recapture the very heart of their neighbourhood.
The screenplay of the movie is done by Horton Foote who is a Oscar winner screenwriter for the movie To Kill a Mockingbird and helping him with this movie another screenwriter Tender Mercies. MAIN STREET has an ensemble cast with some heavy-weights like the Oscar winner Colin Firth, Orlando Bloom, Oscar nominee Patricia Clarkson, Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn, and Andrew McCarthy will be seen in the movie. The movie is directed by John Doyle and this movie will go as straight Video On Demand on August 5, and that will be followed by the theatrical release on September 9.
