The marriage came at the end of an eight-year-long courtship with Riteish (32) and Genelia (24) taking their vows around a sacred fire at the suburban Grand Hyatt hotel.
The groom, wearing a white sherwani and red 'feta' (turban), entered the hotel riding a white 'ghodi'. Genelia wore a red and gold lehenga designed by Ritu Kumar.
The 'baaraat' started from the grounds near Grand Hyatt. Amidst the singing and dancing, Riteish, with his face covered with a 'sehra' (flower veil), waved excitedly while sitting on the horse.
The actor's Congress minister father Vilasrao Deshmukh was dressed in a brown sherwani.
Sharad Pawar, Praful Patel, Subodh Kant Sahay, Sunil Tatkare and Johny Joseph were among the political figures present at the wedding.
B-town guests present included Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan, Kajol and Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar, Sajid Khan, Karan Johar, Shahid Kapoor, Ashutosh Gowariker, Sajid Nadiadwala, Satish Shah, Asin, Jacky Bhagnani, Vashu Bhagnani, Ramesh Taurani, Nishka and Neeta Lulla.
Riteish took to Twitter last night, saying, "Saw the Last sunset as a Bachelor."
And soon after the wedding, the actor took to Twitter to post a photo of him and Genelia, with the caption, "MR & MRS DESHMUKH".
The wedding capped three days of festivities that included sangeet, haldi, mehndi ceremonies and a traditional bachelorette party for Genelia. The reception will take place tomorrow at the same hotel.
Riteish and Genelia have been seeing each other since their Bollywood debut, 'Tujhe Meri Kasam' in 2003 but they chose to be secretive about it. They finally opened up about their relationship last year.
The couple will be seen romancing in their forthcoming film 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' that will hit the theatres on February 24.

Lisa Ray engaged
Indian-Canadian actress Lisa Ray is engaged to boyfriend Jason Dehni after he proposed to her on a recent vacation in Napa Valley. A delighted Lisa let the world know via twitter.
She tweeted, "Just returned from the glorious Napa Valley - the gourmand's and wine-lovers' paradise- with a DELICIOUS announcement. Stay tuned...
"'Delicious update': ENGAGED to the love of my life. Jason Dehni proposed in Napa. #happiestdayever (sic)," she added.
The model-turned-actress also posted a picture of herself with her fiance. Lisa, born to a Bengali father and a Polish mother, made her debut in Bollywood in 2001 with Vikram Bhatt's "Kasoor".
She is best known for her performance in Deepa Mehta's Oscar-nominated film, 'Water', The 39-year-old has successfully battled cancer after being diagnosed with multiple myeloma in 2009. She announced she was cancer-free in 2010 after a stem cell transplant.

Shah Rukh a brother? No way, says Vidya
Vidya Balan recently did a small act at the Screen Awards with Shah Rukh Khan where she addressed the superstar as 'brother'. However, she says calling SRK brother saddened her.
"I did not find that act interesting. I felt very sad that I called him my brother. The world can call Shah Rukh their brother, but I will never call him my brother," the 33-year-old said at the DVD launch here of her movie "The Dirty Picture".
After taking away all the awards for her performance in "The Dirty Picture", Vidya is currently busy promoting her next film "Kahaani".

I'm available for marriage: Shahid Kapoor
In Bollywood, married actors like Shah Rukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Akshay Kumar, Ajay Devgn, Hrithik Roshan and others have done well at the box office, giving tough competition to singletons like Shahid, Ranbir Kapoor, Ranveer Singh.
On married actors being successful in Bollywood, Shahid says, "I agree that most of our superstars in the industry are married...are successful. But again it (being successful) is not so much related to whether you are married or not. It takes certain amount of time to establish yourself as an actor. Usually to reach there you need the support of somebody who loves you, takes care of you."
"And so you end up getting married and settling down. It (marriage) gives you a lot of confidence and certain sense of stability. So I think it is beautiful if your partner is with you on your journey in life... if you have somebody to share your success it is great," he said.
Shahid also said he is available for tying the knot. "Are you trying to say that if I get married I will be more successful? I am available and koi bhi achi ladki chahe toh...(If any of the good girls want)... I am available. I don't have any reservations for marriage," he chuckled, burrying rumours of his on-off relationship with co-star Priyanka Chopra.
The 30-year-old was dating Kareena Kapoor when they started filming for Ken Ghosh's 2004 film Fida. They were going steady until they separated during the making of Jab We Met in 2007. Since then, he has been linked with Vidya Balan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Bipasha Basu. But he has never admitted to dating any of these beauties.
