Bala one of the popular director in tamil film industry who has already delivered some blockbuster movies like "Pithamagan ( 2003) and Naan Kadavul ( 2009) that won several awards in various category is coming back with another full fledged commercial movie with an aim to make a profit known as " Avan Ivan".

While speaking about the story of Avan Ivan , director bala said that "Normally my films will have comedy scenes but in this film there will more comedy scenes. This film is family oriented but at the same time there will lot of actions also. New face Janani Iyer is the heroine of this film.It is true that we considered Sarathkumar’s daughter Varalakshmi for the second heroine role. But when we did some changes in the story, there was significance in the role of Janani. Hence we did not select Varalakshmi. "
Bala's Avan Ivan movie is produced under the production of AGS Entertainment and Yuvan Shankar Raja scored the music of this film.Since Avan Ivan movie is the story about two siblings where two lead male characters to be acted as brothers in this movie , lot of actors in the film industry is considered real life siblings intially like Surya and Karthik , Jeeva and Ganesh which were finally bagged by Vishal and Arya in which Vishal is going to play as a transgender in this movie.
Avan Ivan movie is expected to be completed within 6 months and ready to release , shooting was taken most of the parts like Tenkasi and Shengottai and a major portion in kuttallam (famous for water falls).
